Built-in Tracer
The Nidek LE-9000-SX/LX series edgers incorporate a tracer into the main console and achieve the smallest foot-print in the world. A shielded connection cable ensures safe and reliable data communication. With its operator-friend-ly design, frame setting position can be easily observed.
High Speed, High Precision 3D Tracing
The NIDEK LE-9000-SX/LX series edgers provide precise tracing in all three dimensions. Unlike die plates, the edger finishes even highly curved frames with greater accuracy. Also, the new design features high speed tracing, approximately 30% faster than our conventional edger.
Fully Automatic Measurement of Patterns and Dummy Lenses
The edger automatically measures frame, pattern and dummy lenses, and at completion of the operation the measuring pin returns to its housing.
Dual Tracing System
As both sides of lenses are traced with high accuracy, a perfect fit is possible even when there are subtle differences between right and left lenses. The frame PD is automatically measured, eliminating the need for manual measurement and input.
New Low-Pressure, Active Control Stylus
Accurate tracing is accomplished at low pressure, eliminating frame distortion and disengagement.
Mirror Polish
LE-9000’s “Mirror Polishing” produces mirror-like lenses. Accuracy measured in microns Two-point and half-rim lenses can be polished very precisely with greatly reduced buffing time. LE-9000-SX PLB provides easy and accurate bevel mirror polishing.

The LE-9000 features high speed processing at every step of operation—frame tracing, lens measurement, calculation and edging. Operation time is reduced to 1/3 compared to that of our first edger model.
High Quality
Newly developed 3D tracing & lens measurement feature provides accurate frame and lens measurements, ultimately offering a perfect finish. Thirty-two thousand data points per processing round ensures a precise fit.
Frame Memory
One hundred tracing patterns can be stored in memory, and with optional bar-code reader up to 500 patterns can be stored. This improves efficiency, saves time and storage space.

Greater Efficiency
The LE-9000’s traced data can be transferred via cable connection to the Nidek’s Intelligent Blocker ICE-2000. This eliminates the need to mark a lens with lensmeter, and provides automatic adjustment of center and axis position, as well as precise processing with highly accurate PD layout.With ICE-2000, LT-900, SE-9090 and PC, various lens processing systems can be easily linked to improve lab efficiency and large-scale processing.
Model PLB-2R
This multi-function edger provides glass lens processing in addition to all plastic lens grinding. This versatile edger is a good choice for customers with a wide range of needs.

The most popular edger; grinds glass and plastic lenses.
Model PC
Standard edger without mirror polishing function; provides chamfering and grooving of glass, plastic, acrylic and polycarbonate lenses.
